How do I ........???

OK guys, it's time to go over some "how to's".

First, posting comments:  I just added "anonymous" to the profiles, so you don't have to have a Google account, etc. to post a comment.  Here's the simplest way to post a comment:  Click on the word "comments" below the blog posting.  A new page will open that will allow you to read any previous comments.  It will also show a box into which you type your own comment.  Below the box, select one of the profiles.  If you don't know what that means, select "anonymous" for your profile.  Then click "preview" or "post comment".  The page then refreshes, showing a word verification test.  There you will see a weird looking word.  Type the weird word into the space provided & click "post comment".  I know it sounds difficult, but after you've done it once, it'll be a piece of cake thereafter. By the way, even if you chose "anonymous", you can still sign your comment - so you're not really anonymous - how about that!

Wow, that was a pain, so here's a pretty picture from our dinghy ride down Sister Creek to Sombrero Beach today.
All right!  You guys "did great", so now I'll remind you how to find us on Google Earth.  First go to the Winlink position reports at:  http://www.winlink.org/userPositions   At the bottom of the map, click on "enter callsign" & type "kj4bmy".  Then click the "search" button.  The map will then show Dance Aweigh's current & past locations.  Click on the balloon for more info.  You can zoom in, change to satellite view, etc.  Have fun.

Finally, this Boot Key Harbor place keeps getting better & better.  Take a look at one of their mooring balls.

They are now hanging the pendant from the ball.  This makes it easier to pick up & keeps the thimble free of barnacles - love it.  Ft. Myers Beach are you listening?

  1. Happy Belated Anniversary! Great photo of you Margaret with the dinghy... I'm sure there will be many more... I am really looking forward to all of them! Thanks for the "How Do I...?" page... this helps a lot. I'm always learning new stuff. I love Boot Key Harbor... they really have setup everything for boaters... the mooring balls are great. Love Them! Everybody should do this for their mooring fields. Hey... The Turtle Hospital is in Marathon if you want something different to do. You can walk to it and you get to feed the big turtles at the end of the tour.
